Hello beloved members!

I am thrilled to share with you my reflections on my journey as the Chair of VSPVU. It has been a whirlwind of experiences, challenges, and growth, and I couldn't be happier with the path I've chosen.

Stepping into the role of Chair was a bit scary, not going to lie. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but I was eager to dive in headfirst and embrace the opportunities that lay ahead. Little did I know just how much this journey would shape me as a person and a leader.

From the outset, I was confronted with new responsibilities and tasks that tested my organizational and time management skills. I got better at balancing meetings, projects, and university matters! But beyond the formalities, it was the human connections that truly energized me.

One of the highlights of my tenure has been the opportunity to engage with fellow associations, projects, and university initiatives. Whether it's attending formal meetings or casually chatting with other Boards when you run into them, I've come to appreciate the strength of our collective efforts in setting up something great!

Moreover, seeing the new active members that have infused the VSPVU with fresh ideas and creativity. It's inspiring to see the enthusiasm and passion they bring to the table, and I'm excited to see how their contributions will shape the future of our association. Being able to guide and support them in their -for some even their first- year in the VSPVU has been a privilege <3

As Chair, I've had the opportunity to oversee various committees and contribute to the vibrant energy of our association. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth, and I am grateful for the chance to learn and evolve alongside my fellow Board members and members alike.

Of course, this journey hasn't been without its share of obstacles and moments of self-reflection. There have been tough calls to make, lessons to learn, and personal weaknesses to confront. Yet, through it all, I've embraced these challenges as opportunities for growth, determined to emerge stronger and more resilient than before.

In closing, I want to express my gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and dedication. It is your passion and commitment that drive our association forward, and I am honored to serve as your Chair. Together, let's continue to work tirelessly, celebrate our successes, and learn from our setbacks. The journey ahead may be challenging, but I have no doubt that with our collective efforts, we will achieve greatness.
