Information for International Students

This message is intended for International students as it concerns changes made with the membership and book store for international members. Dutch students are, of course, allowed to read along, yet this message might not be of any added value to them.

Dear International students,

With the ongoing virus outbreak we are very sad to hear that unfortunately not everyone is able to come to the Netherlands this year, which is why both the VSPVU and VU Book store have made some adjustments which will benefit you for sure! The first adjustment being made is that the VU Book store is now able to also ship internationally, meaning that you can order all of your study books right to your home! You can order your books by going to vuboekhandel.nl and to make a new account there: during the sign-up process you will be asked if you are a member of the VSPVU: click yes and fill in your information. When you have done that, you are able to order your books with the member discount!

Which also brings us to our second change: what if you are not a member of the VSPVU yet? Then we have come along to help out a lot of you as well, because from today onwards we also accept international payments from over 30 different countries! That way, you can still become a member and order your books with discount! We now accept the following payments methods and for the following countries:
iDeal - Netherlands
Sofort Banking - Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Spain
SEPA Bank Transfer - All countries within the European Union, Iceland, Norway, Lichtenstein, Switzerland, San Marino, Monaco, Andorra, Vatican City and United Kingdom

Below you can find a short explanation to the different payment methods and how to become a member. If your country unfortunately does not fall under one of the ones mentioned above, but still want to become a member, do not hesitate to contact us and we will work something out!

Become a Member with iDeal:

1. Click here for Bachelors or here for (Pre-)Masters and fill in all information completely.
2. Click on Send, after which you will be brought to the payment screen.
3. Click on iDeal, followed by your bank.
4. Follow the steps of your specific bank to pay.
5. Payment complete? You’ll receive your password for vspvu.com soon but you can already order your books!

Become a Member with Sofort:

1. Click here for Bachelors or here for (Pre-)Masters and fill in all information completely.
2. Click on Send, after which you will be brought to the payment screen.
3. Click on Sofort and will in which country and bank you want to pay with.
4. Follow the steps of your specific bank to pay.
5. Payment complete? You’ll receive your password for vspvu.com soon but you can already order your books!

Become a Member with SEPA:

1. Click here for Bachelors or here for (Pre-)Masters and fill in all information completely.
2. Click on Send, after which you will be brought to the payment screen.
3. Click on SEPA Overboeking, after which you will find specific information for your payment.
4. Go to your banking app and transfer the money to the specific bank account holder, payment number, price and reference number. Note: the reference number should be put as the reference, NOT as the description, otherwise the payment will be bounced back to your account after a few days.
5. Payment complete? You’ll receive your password for vspvu.com in a few days but you can already order your books!
