Study associations

What actually is a study association?

Chances are no one ever really explained to you what the difference between a student association and a study association is. Student associations are societies for all students from a certain city. This means the students do not have to be from a specific educational institution to become a member. They are mostly aimed at sociability and offering different kinds of sports.

Study associations, however, are mainly meant for students of the faculty (faculty associations) or studies concerning the association. They are connected to the university they are located and often work together with the faculty. Study associations are aimed at guiding and helping their members during their time as students and making it an unforgettable period in their lives.
