* Unfortunatly this event has been cancelled*

After months of hard work, we are more than excited to finally present this year’s convention to you! As you probably know by now, the theme is “The Digital Mind” and the day will be all about the relation between the psychological world and the digitalisation of our society. Our event will consist of five lectures: Identity theft, Artificial Communication Training, Social Media influencing Mental Health, Brain Machine Interfaces and Dating Apps. Besides the lectures, you will be taken care of with a delicious lunch, drinks, snacks and a surprise goodie bag - all included in the price! The event is going to begin at 10:00 and lasts until approximately 17:00 with a borrel until 18:00. Doors open at 9.30, so please be on time.

One of the reason, why this event is so special to us, is that this is the first convention that had to be planned during the outbreak of a global pandemic, Covid-19. For months, we did not know wether the convention would even take place, how is would take place and with how many people. After weeks of back and fourth, we are very happy to announce that this event will be PHYSICAL. There are going to be 80 spots available. Since we are of course sticking to the 1.5m distance rule, the seats are also going to be arranged accordingly. In case you sign up with someone from the same household, you will be able to sit closer together, which is why the number of participants might be increased retrospectively. However, we will not be able to say more about this until we see who signs up. In case the convention sells out, your name is going to be put on a waiting list.

During the event, we want to appeal to everybody’s responsibility! Please keep distance from each other and stay home, in case you are feeling sick!
After checking in at the entrance of the Posthoornkerk, you will be brought to your seat and you will have to remain seated. Of course, there will be a restroom for everybody to use, but during small breaks or while eating lunch, you will have to stay on your seat. This is very unfortunate, but there is no way around it. The lunch will be divided into sections, to prevent people from standing close to each other.

We are very excited to see you at the Posthoornkerk! In case of further questions, send an email to congrescie@vspvu.com.

See you soon and stay safe,

Convention Committee VSPVU
